I am all against tooting your own horn just to show off. On the other hand, I interpreted that you suggest deliberately hiding your successes. (Keeping your house’s outside peeling and derelict.) With some naiveté, I disagree. I am against blocking one’s own energy. Keep the outside dirty and dirt will start coming in. What is worse? A ceiling created by others or one created by yourself?

As with many things, there probably has to be a balance between tooting and hiding.
